What's Your Deal with Cherchies Peppers?

Hey, when you find a superior product, you stick with it.

Cherchies Pretty Peppers and Pretty Hot Peppers are superior.  I stumbled upon them in the Dierberg's designer pickled things aisle.  You know, next to the artichokes, roasted peppers, hearts of palm.  Their Pretty Peppers are basically pimentos (diced red bell peppers), but the key is that they're marinated in sugar and vinegar.  Regular pimentos are jarred in water.  They don't provide that vibrant, bright, pop of flavor.

The Pretty Hot Peppers are diced green bell peppers with some jalapenos added.  You get a wonderful balance of sweet and heat I haven't found in any other product.

These are pricey at about $7 a jar, but I indulge with the splurge.  Sadly, Dierberg's doesn't stock them any more.  In fact, no store in St. Louis stocks them.  You have to buy them online.  While you're there, pick up their Champagne Mustard or their Hot Banana Pepper Mustard, too.  If you buy enough, shipping is free!  Check them out here: http://cherchies.com/
