Steak Shake | ||||
Makes a smaller shaker's worth
Ingredients | ||||
2 tbls | salt | |||
2 tbls | ground black pepper
1 tbls | granulated garlic
1 tsp | smoked paprika | |||
1 tsp | ground chipotle chili powder
1 tsp | sugar | |||
Directions | ||||
Combine all the ingredients into a small
bowl, stir it up to combine everything, then funnel it into your
favorite shaker/dispenser. This will taste a bit peppery when you try it by itself, but it will wake up your beef or pork cuts with a little spicy smokiness. When I grill for medium rare, I put the meat on for 2 1/2 minutes times 4 sides. Hmm, 4 sides? Let me break it down: Throw it on the grill, 2 1/2 minutes, flip it, 2 1/2 minutes, flip it and rotate it 90 degrees to get those diamond grill marks, 2 1/2 minutes, flip it, 2 1/2 minutes. I dust on the Steak Shake after the last flip to dissolve some of those flavors into the meat. Obviously your time may vary for thicker cuts, the temperature of your grill, and the doneness you prefer. Just find your time and use a timer and you will get consistent results. |
