61 Troubleshoot the Electronics

Tune up all the strings and adjust the height of the pickups to be close, but not too close. The magnets can pull on the strings and effect the tone and sustain. Pickup height also affects signal output. Adjust the neck and bridge pickup heights so that they have close to the same volumes. Now run through all of your knobs and switches to make sure everything works as intended. Fortunately, we only had one switch wired up backwards, so it wasn’t too difficult to remedy. Make any repairs and test drive it some more until all the bugs are worked out.
